India's Covid-19 tally surges past 4,200; Maha leads with 74

New Delhi, April 6 (TIWN) The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in India is 4281, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Monday.

PM Modi chaired a meeting of Council of Ministers on Monday, amid the Coronavirus crisis in the country. Earlier in the day, he addressed BJP karyakartas on the occasion of BJP Foundation day and made five appeals to them to support the country's fight against Coronavirus. He asked them to ensure food for the poor, follow social distancing, encourage use and distribution of masks, support to PM CARES Fund and to install Aarogya Setu app, among others. Meanwhile, anchors and reporters working in news channels are being specifically targeted through social media platforms like WhatsApp, TikTok and Twitter, the News Broadcasters Association said in a statement condemning the act.
