Bengaluru, March 26 (TIWN) The Karnataka government, here on Thursday, reported second Covid-19 death and four more positive cases, raising the total number of cases to 55.
Although the person died on Wednesday, the government confirmed that she was tested positive for Covid-19, on Thursday. “I regret to inform that the Covid-19 test result has come out as positive for Mallika Bai, who had succumbed to death yesterday. The govt stands committed to curb the spread of Corona Virus in the state. Please stay home, stay safe.” Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar tweeted.
The deceased had travel history to Mecca in Saudi Arabia. She also had pre-existing conditions like diabetes, chest pain and hip fracture. Earlier, the state had reported the death of a 76-year-old man from Kalaburgi who too had travel history to Saudi Arabia. With four new positive cases reported on Thursday, the state's tally is 55.
