New Delhi, Jan 3 (TIWN) Facing flak from opposition and public over the death of children in party-ruled Rajasthan, Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi has called a meeting of senior party leaders on Saturday to discuss the issue and the state government's response.
After the meeting, Pande said, “Sonia ji wanted to know the reasons for the deaths. It is a very sad situation and the chief minister has been asked to take all necessary actions.” On BJP charges of administrative and hospital negligence, he said, "The BJP allegation is untrue as the inquiry is on and those responsible will be punished.” Meanwhile, Gehlot tweeted, “I welcome specialist delegation of central government and the state is committed to make Rajasthan 'Nirogi'. The government is sensitive towards the death of the children and there should be no politics into it."
