AGARTALA, Oct 19 (TIWN): CM Biplab Kumar Deb has Addressed the devotees At Shanti Kali Ashram, Nalchar on the occasion of Ashwamedh yajna, Where he discussed about various issues.
He said that During the left rule in our State people were not free to celebrate the religious occasions. He has also shared one of his experience from past days during CPIM rule when people were not free to practice religion. CM said CPIM ruled in Tripura like Mughals and Britishers, they all tried to destroy our Indian culture and heritage.
He said now the time has changed in Tripura for good, people are free to celebrate festivals of their own choice.
He also mentioned that whoever has looted people's money, the government will take Strict action against them and they will sent to the jail for sure. No one can save them from punishment.
CM said I am not here to tolerate the corrupt people who have looted poor people's money. CM said the culprits of Chitfund scam and Corrupt officials including corrupt Contractors will be behind the bar. CM also said that Gov't is working very strictly to maintain law and order in the State and women safety and Security is one of our prime property.
On the occasion CM has also distributed Puja Prasad among devotees and visited the organic farming area of the Ashram.
Finally he concluded his speech thanking everyone present there.
Apart from Chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb, MP Miss Pratima Bhowmik, Chairman of Khadi Board Shri Rajib Bhattacharjee, Chitta Maharaj of Shantikali Ashram were also present.
