Mumbai, July 25 (TIWN) In a jolt to the opposition Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), its Mumbai President Sachin Ahir walked over to the ruling Shiv Sena here on Thursday.
“I can’t say that I am too happy, I have walked a path for so long, in politics we have do to do certain things, certain decisions has to be taken… There are political situations in my constituency.”said Ahir on Thursday morning clearly hinting that the possibility of not winning the forthcoming 2019 polls under the NCP banner was the reason he was quitting the party.
Ahir was on the way to Uddhav’s home for a press conference when he made the comments, he further added, “I have been inspired by Aaditya’s (son of Uddhav Thackeray’s) leadership, it is a different kind of inspiring leadership.”said Ahir. He added that he had already spoken to NCP Chief Sharad Pawar last week about this decision to explain to him ‘about the political issues in his constituency’.
