Mild earthquake hits western Odisha

Bhubaneswar, June 19 (IANS) Panic gripped the people after a mild earthquake was felt in several parts of western Odisha on Wednesday.
As per reports, it was felt for 2-3 seconds repeatedly at around 5.48 pm compelling the panic-stricken people of those areas to rush out of their houses.Till the filing of this report, competent authorities had not formally confirmed about the occurrence of this natural phenomenon or its intensity was ascertained from the Richter scale.Not even any damage or loss of life and property were reported.
