President Kovind prays at Udupi Krishna temple in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Dec 28 (TIWN / IANS) President Ram Nath Kovind on Thursday offered his prayers at the renowned Sri Krishna Temple in Karnataka's Udupi district, about 400km from here.
"President Kovind visited Sri Pejawara Adhokshaja Mutt (in Udupi) and his respects at Sri Krishna Temple," a tweet from the President's Office said.
Earlier in the day, Karnataka Governor Vajubhai R. Vala received the President along with the First Lady Savita Kovind at Mangaluru Airport, about 55km from Udupi.
The President paid his respects to the 87-year-old presiding pontiff of the Mutt, Vishvesha Teertha Swami, on the occasion of the seer's 80th year of taking up "sanyasa" (renunciation).
