Mumbai, Jan 5 (TIWN) On Deepika Padukone's 37th birthday on Thursday, her 'Pathaan' co-star Shah Rukh Khan penned a note of appreciation for the actress and said that he is "proud and always wishing her to scale new heights".
In his tweet, superstar Shah Rukh Khan said he was proud to see how Padukone evolved as an actress in her 15-year-long career.
"To my dearest Deepika Padukone, how you have evolved to own the screen in every avatar possible! Always proud and always wishing for you to scale new heights … Happy birthday … Lots of love," he said alongside Padukone's image from their upcoming movie 'Pathaan'.
Padukone made her Bollywood acting debut with director Farah Khan's 'Om Shanti Om' in 2007, opposite the King Khan of Bollywood. Their on-screen chemistry was widely appreciated, and the duo went on star in movies like 'Chennai Express' (2013) and 'Happy New Year' (2014). They were also seen in an item number 'Love Mera Hit Hit' from the 2009 film 'Billu'.
The superhit on-screen couple is making a big-bang return with director Siddharth Aanand's 'Pathaan'. The movie is slated for a theatrical release on January 25.
