Chennai, Aug 17 (TIWN) The makers of the Malayalam superhit film 'Lucifer' on Wednesday officially announced that they had begun work on 'Empuraan', the second film of the series.
The sequel has been titled Empuraan. “It means more than a king and less than a God,” said Prithviraj, while explaining the meaning of the film’s title. “The literal meaning will be overlord.’ There is a sentimental reason why the filmmakers decided to hold the press conference at Mohanlal’s residence in Kochi. It was there two years ago that the official announcement of Lucifer took place and the film went on to rewrite box office records of Malayalam cinema when it released earlier this year. “We made the announcement of Lucifer at this very place. And we thought this place will be a good omen for the sequel too,” Mohanlal said.
