AGARTALA, June 22 (TIWN): On Tuesday common people from different parts of Sabroom sub-division protested against the rising fuel price along with the entire state of Tripura.
The protest was staged by MLA Prabhat Chowdhury, labor leader Deepak Dey, farmer leader Chitta Ranjan Basak and others leaders of CPIM against the rising fuel price hikes
The agitators demanded Rs 7,500 should be given to the families, those who are not covered under tax, Rs 10 Kg free rice to be provided to each person among the needy families in this pandemic situation. The CPIM leaders also demanded to generate MNREGA work days, including to increase REGA wage, and also demanded financial assistance be given to the families who died out of Covid.
