AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): Electric transformer has been remaining at risk for the past several months in Rakhiram Para of West Kalabaria vill Panchayat under Bilonia subdivision, at any time major accident can happen. But even after repeatedly informing the electric department, the department has not yet taken steps to repair the damaged transformer.
It is known, in Rakhiram Para of West Kalabaria vill Panchayat under Bilonia subdivision, a power transformer has been remaining at risk for the past several months, half of the transformer went underground. The villagers informed the local Panchayat authorities and the power department officials several times earlier about it, but no step has been taken by the concerned department.
After a long two months had passed of villagers complaints, no one has come to repair the damaged transformer, allegedly. With huge resentment the locals finally confronted the media and expressed their anger against the department. All the houses near the transformer are spending their days in panic as there is a high risk of a major accident, and accidents can happen at any time.
Now it remains to be seen what kind of steps the administration will take for the benefit of the people of this area and when the damaged transformer will be repaired.
