UDAIPUR, May 15 (TIWN): Based on secret information, RK Pur police led by SI Shankar Saha raided an auto-rickshaw before Udaipur's Radha Kishore Pur PS and recovered a large quantity of foreign liquor and contraband items.

During the raid, the Police also arrested Subhash Bhowmik, who was involved in drug trafficking for a long time. For the past several months, Subhash has been doing business illegally by evading the police. After trying to catch him for a couple of months finally the Police arrested him today.

However, there is no doubt that such illegal activities are going smoothly in every corner of the state. For the last 3 years, drug trafficking has become a major problem in Tripura. High unemployment is causing to decrease in skills and knowledge of the labor force and this is the major reason for the increase of crimes such as drug smuggling in the state.
