SJVNL gets three more hydro projects in Himachal

Shimla, Dec 27 (TIWN) Public sector Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd (SJVNL), which owns and operates India's largest hydropower project in Himachal Pradesh, on Thursday said the state government has allotted it three more projects with capacity to generate 501 MW.
The Purthi power project was a state project for which a concession agreement was signed on June 1, 2011, with Shangling Hydro Power Pvt Ltd at an estimated cost of Rs 2,100 crore. Earlier, 300 MW of power generation capacity was envisaged by the state. The project was located in the Kinnaur district.
