Equities end marginally higher, Sensex up 60 points

Mumbai, Sep 8 (TIWN) The Indian equity indices closed on a flat-to-positive note on Monday after a largely choppy and subdued trade.
The benchmark Sensex ended 60 points higher at 38,417, while the Nifty50 closed at 11,375, up 41 points. In the broader market the Nifty Smallcap 100 index closed higher and the Nifty Midcap 100 ended nearly 1% lower. The S&P BSE MidCap and SmallCap indexes traded half a per cent higher, each. About 1,212 shares advanced, 1,461 declined, and 187 shares were unchanged.
