New Delhi, May 28 : In a superb display, the Indian Arm Wrestlers contingent won a total of seven medals including one gold and six bronze medals in the Asian Championship 2024 held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Shrimant Jha, who participated in two categories, was the top performer for India as he won the gold medal in the left-hand category para category, while he won one bronze medal in the right-hand para category. |

Dhaka, May 21 : Despite struggling to score runs in the white-ball format for Bangladesh, wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das remains hopeful that his 'careless attitude' will bring respite for him in the upcoming T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA next month. Kobe (Japan), May 20 : Ace para discus thrower Yogesh Kathuniya secured a silver medal in the F56 category at the 2024 World Para-Athletics Championships here on Monday, taking to four India's medal tally in this event. Kathuniya achieved a remarkable throw of 41.80 metres, earning him second place behind Brazil’s Claudiney Batista Dos Santos, who took gold. The bronze medal went to Slovakia’s Dusan Lackzo. |

Leeds, May 20 : Colin Graves, the Chairman of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club, has said the club must go from a traditional members-owned club to becoming a private structure -– through a process of demutualisation -- in order to survive in the future. Graves was re-elected as Yorkshire's chairman for a second stint in February this year. Through a statement on the club’s official website, Graves said Yorkshire lost 2.7 million pounds, despite hosting an Ashes Test last year, which takes the total losses beyond 9 million pounds. |
