AGARTALA, Oct 17 (TIWN): Akhand Vikash Parishad, a BJP backed Social Organization has slammed the blackmailing of a section of people who call themselves as journalists.

The issue was raised at Teliamura, under Khowai when after few successful Swachh Bharat Campaigning a section of people started to attack them directly and indirectly. 

After a successful Swachh Bharat campaigning, a journalist came to them on the spot of cleanliness drive and told them, “In the name of Swachh Bharat you are spreading dirts in this area". 

When the Akhand Vikash Parishad asked him about his identity he said, “I am a journalist. What you will do if I make a news on it?”

Later a local CPI-M leader called the Akhand Vikash Parishad leader and asked him about the issue. However later the Akhand Vikash Parishad was consoled by the leader that such incident will not happen again.

As the cause behind the attack the members of Akhand Bharat said, “They are not journalist at all. Neither they have I-D cards, but just CPI-M cadres in journalist uniform”.

The organization has strongly condemned the blackmailing attitude of people with the glamour of journalist whereas maximum times they have proven as not at all journalist.
