AGARTALA, Aug 4 (TIWN): BJP State observer Sunil Deodhar along with other BJP leaders met the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers of Tripura who are on hunger strike from last 4 days.
However, earlier Congress MLA Birjit Sinha also met the SSA teachers but till day no CPI-M member has bothered to meet the SSA teachers.
Addressing the teachers on the 4rth day of their hunger strike, Deodhar said that whereas in the CPI-M rule, they have been working on contract basis but consequently these teachers are deprived of the salary they deserve, but the salaries and their demands are their rights.
"We assure you the issues will be addressed to the Centre if BJP comes to power in the State" said Deodhar while addressing at Orient Chowmuhani, Agartala.
Reportedly, atleast Rs. 5000 are cut from Tripura SSA teachers' salaries.
