AGARTALA, Oct 30 (TIWN): Govt Pensioners Association of Tripura (GPAT) celebrates the International Day of Older Persons on Sunday.
Calling media at Agartala office, Sunil Chowdhury on behalf of Govt Pensioners Association of Tripura wished the people of the state on International Day of Older Persons, which is actually held on Oct 1st.
The members of GPAT also wished the state for Saradiya festive month and expressed happiness for the peaceful Durga Puja month observed by Tripura People.
It’s worthy to mention here that the International Day of Older Persons is observed on October 1 each year. On December 14, 1990 the United Nations General Assembly voted to establish October 1 as the International Day of Older Persons as recorded in Resolution 45/106.
