KAMALPUR, Oct 15 (TIWN): In a quite unbelievable happening a baby python got rescued here at the heart of the Kamalpur town here today.

The local people of the Bhattacharjee Para area and the members of the Ekata Sangha Club rescued the baby python from the pond of one Madhu Bhattacharjee. Then the local people informed the matter to the forest department to hand it over to them.

According to the information, the local people first noticed the baby python in the morning when some locales went to the pond of Mr. Bhattacharjee for bathing and washing. Then the matter was informed to the club members. The locale youths along with the club members rescued the python from the water and kept it in a cage. They also informed the forest department. Then the forest officials came and took the baby python under their custody.

It got speculated that, the python might reach the place with the flowing rain water. Otherwise, the mother python might reach the place with flood water and might give birth to the baby from the egg. The forest officials requested the locales to keep watch and inform if the mother python got noticed.
