AGARTALA, July 22 (TIWN): In a meeting Tripura MPs Jitendra Chaudhury, Shankar Prasad Dutta and Jharna Das Baidya discussed state’s various issues with MoRTH Minister Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister of Commerce & Industries, in her Parliamentary Office, in a press release by Govt. said this on Thursday.

MPs, Cabinet Ministers discussed upon the pending issues of Tripura and some very important aspects related to the entire North East.

The discussed issues are :

1. Trade expansion between India and Bangladesh,
2. Discussed the existing Border Haats matters,
3. Discussion about Feni river project,
4.  Discussed regarding ASIDE scheme, which is meant for infrastructure development,
5. The MPs has requested to design it as 90:10 basis, in line with the other schemes implemented in North East.
6. Removal of Port restriction through the Land Custom Stations in Tripura
7. Setting up of Second Integrated Check Post in Tripura
8. Discussed about an immediate need of another ICP in Tripura.
9. Setting up of more Border Haats in Tripura as out of total 8 (eight) Border Haats the Ministry has given approval for 4 (four) only in first phase, of which only 2 (two) are sanctioned.
10. Continuation of North East Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy (NEIIPP, 2007)
