AGARTALA, August 6 (TIWN): On the 38th Foundation Day of the Tribal Students’ Union, the union has taken 19-day long initiatives to celebrate the occasion, said Indrajit Kalai, member of the union in a press conference on Thursday at Chatra-Yuva Bhavan.
According to the schedule, as a part of Social programme, the union has decided to donate 500 unit of blood.
The programme will commence with the plantation of around one thousand saplings. To mark the occasion the members of the union will distribute sweets and fruits to the hospitals of the sub-division, said Indrajit Kalai.
The markets of the sub-division will be cleaned, added.
However, as a part of cultural and sports programme, several competition will be organized which includes quiz, Sit and Draw and other. Various cultural programmes will also be organized.
Besides, Kalai said that to mark the occasion the union with host the committee flag at every unit, region, schools, and colleges and will offer floral tribute to the altar of martyrs.
However, on August 25 through meeting the programme will be ended.
