AGARTALA, Sept 17: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ is not merely an initiative to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, but also an occasion to highlight his 25 years of service in public office. Explaining the significance of the campaign, Saha said that the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ reflects the theme of dedicated public service and seeks to commemorate Modi’s journey from Gujarat Chief Minister to Prime Minister of India.
“It’s not only about PM Modi’s birthday. His service to the nation as Gujarat Chief Minister for 13 years and as Prime Minister of India for 12 years is being marked through this ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’,” the Chief Minister said.
According to Saha, the campaign is centred around public service and various activities aimed at connecting with people and extending welfare initiatives to communities.
The ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ began on September 17 and is being observed with a range of programmes across Tripura. These include social-service activities, welfare outreach, blood donation programmes and initiatives aimed at creating greater public participation.
The campaign also seeks to highlight government welfare schemes and encourage community involvement in activities related to cleanliness, health, social welfare and public service.
The Chief Minister said the initiative provides an opportunity to remember Modi’s long political journey while focusing on the broader message of service to society.
