AGARTALA, Sep 11 (TIWN): BJP and Tipra Motha on Wednesday held an urgent meeting till late-night after some seat-sharing confusions erupted for the upcoming village council election. The meeting was held after one of the parties allegedly submitted more candidates' nominations than what was supposed to be and it was also rumored that few candidates without consulting leaders submitted nominations. Today, the extra candidates were asked to withdraw nominations but on being asked by media CM Manik Saha informed that the actual figure of seat sharing is still unknown to him.

"Only after withdrawal of seats, I would know how many seats we (BJP) actually got. Nothing can be said in advance," he said.

"Alliances in politics face rifts sometimes and that's okay. We as BJP party members, would never leave our alliance partners as long as they want to be in alliance," explained the Chief Minister. "Accordingly, in this election, it was decided that the NDA partners will fight together and BJP, IPFT and Tipra Motha will be fighting the elections jointly.
