AGARTALA, Aug 14 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Saha on Monday asserted that Doctors’ crisis is not a lie but reality and said that’s why the State is increasing numbers in medical seats so that in near future the Doctors’ crisis may end.
CM was addressing a blood donation camp organized by Aravinda club and said, “Rs. 59 Crores budget was added for health services and to expand the beneficiaries like Ayushman project under state care. I have inaugurated Nursing college recently. Specialists Doctors’ numbers and seat numbers for education also were increased. In TMC, Dental Colleges also seats were raised. All these have been done to increase the manpower in hospitals”.
“100 subcenters started by this Govt and at each District 50 bedded rehabilitation centers started which was only 1 in Tripura earlier in Narshingrah. We are working to start at least Trauma Center at each District. With all these, I am sure the pressure on State main hospital will decrease and the State will emerge as a Medical Hub”, CM said.
