AGARTALA, March 30 (TIWN): A father was injured after beaten up with sticks by own son while performing Namaz. The incident occurred in Sonamura area under Radhakishorepur PS.

Reportedly, Rasid Mia, a resident of town Sonamura area was praying in the morning. Meanwhile, Rasid Mia’s son Muharram Ali came with a big stick in his hand and hit his father on head. The people of the house noticed Rashid Mia lying on the ground in a bloody state. Radhakishorpur PS was immediately informed but Rashid Mia was taken to Gomti District Hospital before the police reached the spot. Rashid Mia is Presently undergoing treatment at District Hospital.

Meanwhile, the people of the house said that Muharram Ali often stays in an intoxicated state.

However, the police rushed to the incident spot to catch Muharram Ali. Now it is to be seen if the police can catch the accused Muharram Ali or not, and all the people of the area including the family members have demanded severe punishment against Muharram Ali.
