AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): With another year-cycle, preparation for Durga puja is at peak in Tripura.

Durga puja is considered as the greatest festival of Bengali community and in Tripura all communities together celebrate the festival. This year Durga puja is on early October. The Saptami puja will start from October 2.

On Friday, at Lal Bahadur health centre, “Khuti Puja” marked the beginning of Durga puja. It is known that the center will construct “Vaishnab Devi Temple”.

The programme was held in the presence of Puja committee’s General Secretary Amal Debbarma and Chairman Biplab Saha.
