AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): Congress MP Nasir Hussain on Monday asked Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha to act neutrally, not as a BJP leader and should order an unbiased investigation of the entire incident that took place at Post Office Chowmuhani Congress Bhawan area after the poll results.
Today Congress MPs and Central leaders arrived in Tripura after the massive attacks took place on Congress across the state since the by poll results.
Addressing media, MP Nasir Hussain said, “A chief minister should not forget that his duty is to take neutral action. We demand a fair investigation into the violence that took place yesterday. Our workers were detained whereas BJP workers attacked Congress in front of Police and the Police stood as mute spectators”.
Congress also has lodged a complaint to the Election Commission, Delhi seeking action against hooliganism of the BJP party and police’s biased role.
