AGARTALA, January 6 (TIWN): Administrative scenario of Tripura is very “disturbing†under the ledership of "Mr Clean" CM. Several instances of mismanagement, internal politics, charges of corruption against its senior officials resulted in dangerous situation of complete silence of top officials and demoralization of its honest officers.
Frequent transfer of upright government officers for doing their jobs honestly is not new for Tripura.
In yet another example SDM of Sonamura Subasish Das was transferred for doing his job honestly by destroying over Rs 100 crores worth of ganja fields .
Subhasish Das, TCS Gr-|, SDM, Sonamura is transferred and posted as Senior Deputy Magistrate, DM's Office, Dhalai.
Taking to TIWN a TCS officer on the condition of anonymity said that if these problems are brought to light, probably decisions would appear to be normal .
But what happens is inside the nexus and collabration of local CPM party leaders, Smugglers, Mafias; it's very demoralising, dehumanising" that a honest officer was shunted out for doing great job.
It is to be mentioned here that SDM Subasish Das Chakraborty was transferred after he was in a role to curb all the illegal businesses worth hundred of crores at Sonamura.
According to analysis, the left front government here in the state has under gone a serious financial crisis from the demolition of cannabis worth Rs. 100 crores. And this must a prime reason for the transfer of an honest TCS officer.
The transfer of SDM Subasish Das has of course raised a serious question among the common mass of the state. A section of TCS honest officers said that, a lobby, which is active with the smugglers in Sonamura and other parts of Tripura, wanted Subasish out.
