Addressing media, Trinamool Congress President Subal Bhowmik said, “Around 50% areas in Tripura are suffering from major electricity issues. The reason behind it is nothing but the heavy corruption which has gripped the Electricity Dept”.

“The Power Minister has totally failed to control the situation”, said Bhowmik.

Then Subal Bhowmik slammed former Chief Minister Biplab Deb for misusing public funds amid such a situation.
