AGARTALA, March 23 (TIWN): Amid 'Nesha Mukta' Tripura slogan, is Tripura's BJP led State Govt now thinking over legalizing Ganja ? 

Chief Minister Biplab Deb in reply to BJP MLA Diba Chandra Hrangkhwal's question, CM Deb has said that he will talk to experts to examine whether Ganja can be legalized or not. 

However, the Chief Minister also said that right now Ganja can not be legalized and asked people to focus on cultivating more Dragon fruits. 

MLA Diba Chandra Hrangkhawl said that by legalizing Ganja, Govt can earn huge revenue. MLA Diba Chandra Hrangkhawl raised question on the legalization of ganja cultivation in the question and answer session of the budget session on Day-2 of Tripura Assembly.  But Biplab Deb told in reply that he will talk to experts and look into the matter. 

Earlier BJP Govt in Tripura had permitted bar, more numbers of liquor licenses to increase revenue.
