AGARTALA, March 1 (TIWN): Lambasting the ongoing dividing political mess at the ruling aligned parties level in Tripura, CPI-M's state tribal wing Ganamukti Parishad (GMP) President Jitendra Choudhury said on Monday that the new slogan on "Greater Tipraland" is just an attempt of covering the failure of IPFT which is aligned now with the ruling BJP in power. "Greater Tipraland" is trying to supply some oxygen to the IPFT which has lost its all popularity. Thus they are signing MoU on political deals though, we don't know what is inside those MoUs. "Our organization Ganamukti Parishad is indeed the pioneer of the term 'Thagnsa' since 1945 and had been using to inculcate unity. The Thangsa was necessitated to empower the community but the process of thangsa must go through literacy, education and awareness on their rights. The 'Hingsa' (Hate) can't be positive to Thansa (Unity).
"IPFT today has failed to tell the people what is the status of Tipraland and IPFT workers are extremely unhappy", said Jitendra Choudhury.
"Thus, this Greater Tipraland is just giving oxygen to the IPFT. India's unity and integrity should be maintained but today how such slogans can be expressed which is claiming that Bangladesh's area will be joined with this Greater Tipraland ? How such things are possible under jurisdiction ? These concepts have no base and the leaders are just trying to play with the sentiments of the innocent people", said Jitendra Choudhury.
