AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): Decade-long rice sacks' thefts are exposing now. Today local people at Agartala Ward No-28 have nabbed a rickshaw driver while he was carrying rice sacks from the ration shop.
However, the rickshaw driver said, he has no role to play except he was carrying the sacks to market.
The incident took place near BBM College under Ward No. 28, when local people gheraoed the rickshaw driver carrying rice sacks.
The ration shop has been identified as 'Yogendranagar Vidyasagar Ration shop' (Shop No-204) under dealer Tapan Deb.
The theft in ration shops are not new, but since decades the common people's rice sacks are sold in this manner and low quality's rice packets are kept for the consumers.
Police getting informed rushed to the spot and noted down the complaints.
