AGARTALA, March 6 (TIWN): With an embarrassing move, BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav has deleted his tweet, where he attempted to justify Lenin's statue vandalizing by BJP attired mob at Southern Tripura. Ram Madhav had tweeted after Belonia Lenin's statue was vandalized, “People taking down Lenin’s statue. Not in Russia, it’s in Tripura….Cholo Paltaiâ€. After being heated with controversy, Ram Madhav has deleted his post before few hours. Today Tripura media persons asked state BJP Observer Sunil Deodhar what about the BJP leaders like Ram Madhav who are supporting this action of Lenin-down via tweets. In reply, Sunil Deodhar said, "You ask them, who have tweeted.........".
Not only this, Tripura BJP Observer, former RSS leader Sunil Deodhar also has outcast the unruly BJP activists who bulldozed Lenin's statue immediately after BJP came in power in the Southern Tripura. Deodhar while interacting media said, 'Can't call them BJP, who did that. I can't say, it was done by any BJP, hence it was the outbrast of public anger may be. But as a BJP leader, I am not with such unruly activity".
"Everytime we have said that we are not with such political intolerance. What has happened, it shouldn't be", said Deodhar.
At West Bengal CPI-M has organized to launch a protest rally against the bulldozing of Lenin's statue at Belonia College zone in the Southern Tripura.
The rally was conducted from Promod Dasgupta Bhawan to Dharmatala at 4.30 PM today.
In a tweet, Ram Madhav said, “People taking down Lenin’s statue. Not in Russia, it’s in Tripura….Cholo Paltai”, which has been deleted.
A real video also became viral where it shows the statue, located in the College Square of the town, being teared down by people wearing ‘Chalo Paltai’ T-shirts and chanting “Bharat mata ki jai.”
