AGARTALA, Jan 31 (TIWN): A 17-year-old girl became severely ill after she was given wrong medicines. According to patient Sushmita Sarkar’s mother, Susmita was suffering from fever but the nurses gave wrong medicines.

Later, when she fell sick, and family inquired, the nurse who was so busy with her cellphone, declared that she was given wrong medicines — which was exchanged with a heart attack patient.

Susmita Sarkar (17), daughter of Swapan Sarkar was vomiting, and fainted after the wrong medicine was given to her.

This incident created chaos in the hospital.

Later, she had to be treated just like a poisoned patient — she was forced to vomit. Her critical condition forced the Doctor to refer her to GB hospital.
