New Delhi, Jan 23 (TIWN) The deadlock between the farmers' leaders and the government over the three farm laws seems to continue as the 11th round of talks on Friday at Vigyan Bhawan lasted till lunch only and ended without a solution.
The Centre in the last meeting proposed to hold the implementation of the farm laws for 18 months and appoint a committee to look into the issues. Farmers’ union representatives on Thursday rejected the proposal offered by the government citing that their demand continues to be a total rollback of the laws. They are also scheduled to discuss with Delhi police officials issues concerning permission to conduct a tractor rally on Republic Day in the Outer Ring Road in Delhi.
