CRPF Jawans took a lead role in the drive, helped the workers with sanitation on Friday. Addressing media, Law Minister Ratanlal Nath said, “In today’s date, in our state total 465 people are in Home Quarantine, in Institutional Quarantine 142, total 10,798 persons are in surveillance and 14 days of surveillance completed by 10191 people. COVID19 Death Toll raised to 420 in Indi | AGARTALA, April 15 (TIWN): As the areas which are not in hotspots may be relaxes after April 20, there is high possibility that in Tripura also, the relaxation will come in effect as no new case was reported here. Total 8 persons were found positive in other states, who are residents of Tripura. “2 persons out of 8 diagnosed in 3 other states as COVID19 positive were released and kept in facilitating quarantine. It happened in Rajasthan case and the patients connected us by self interest with us, urging to come back soonâ€, said Dip Debbarma. Lockdown : 61 years old Retired Govt Off | AGARTALA, April 15 (TIWN): In another shocking information, it has been known that a senior citizen of 61 years age was severely beaten by police in Agartala on 13th April, demanded Medical damages compensation form Govt as in this age it has become tough for him to recover early. Police had taken this action even after medical prescription was with him along with a bag, which he was carrying. Slamming the police activity, victim, Joy Krishna Roy said, “These miscreants can not be called police, but they are doing all means to damage the Govt’s image. I would request the Chief Minister to take proper action. Joy Krishna Roy was the personal secretary to the Governor of Tripura, when Tathagata Roy was the Governor. Joy Krishna Roy is 61 years old was going to the market nearby and also he had to bring medicine for him. All of a sudden, police hit him from behind, used filthy language and broke his hand. Then he was taken to home and then via ambulance he was taken to IGM Hospital, but from there, he was referred to GB hospital. On being asked by media, “I think the Govt officials who are actually hooligans in reality are harassing us to damage the Govt image. I demand proper investigation in this case. COVID19 lockdown : TSR Jawan’s ex | UDAIPUR, April 15 (TIWN): In a shocking display of misusing power, a TSR Jawan brutally beaten an innocent bike rider at ‘Sonamura Chowmuhani’ Udaipur. In spite of bike rider’s begging to let him go, but TSR Jawan used sticks to beat him all over back to his head causing injuries on the eve of Bengali New Year day. Between morning 9.30 to 11am this incident took place in front of ‘Ojachok Motor’ shop on National Highway, Udaipur. In spite of dedicated service by 90% of Tripura Police & TSR Jawans, this display of brutality not only illegal but exposed lack of discipline in force. The boy was seen carrying items for his family after shopping but instead of listening him, the TSR started hitting him, punishing him on spot as nobody was on road.
