AGARTALA / DHARMANAGAR, Jan 14 (TIWN): On the occasion of Makar Sankranti one dead body has been recovered in the morning at Dharmanagar, triggered much tension among the locals. The tragic incident took place at South Ganga Nagar located tea-garden area. The deceased has been identified as Subud Nath, resident of Ganga Nagar, Ward No-4. However, talking to TIWN over phone SP North Manik Das said, "We can't declare it as a murder. Right now it has been considered as an unnatural death. Let's for the Post Mortem report". SP further said, "No upper injury was found on his body. So without mortem report, we can not declare it as murder".
On the other side, BJP has alleged that it's a political murder. BJP leader Kajal Das told TIWN Dharmanagar local correspondent that yesterday Chaitanya Satnami who is an active CPI-M worker had called him (Subodh Nath) for picnic and today his body was found on the back side of the picnic spot.
Both Chaitanya Satnami and died Subodh Nath are employees of Dharmanagar municipality, but whereas Chaitanya Satnami is CPI-M activists, Subodh Nath was also from BJP.
Subodh Nath's family members also alleged that it was Chaitanya Satnami who had called Subodh Nath for picnic.
A source further said that Chaitanya Satnami is in hide right now.
However, Police are investigating the case led by SP Manik Dey and without Post Mortem nothing can be said.
