AGARTALA, Dec 11 (TIWN): BJP Women Morcha’s National President Vijaya Rahatkar during her visit in Northeast Tripura, has slammed the ruling CPI-M as an Anti-Women party, which has failed to secure state’s girls and women.
“All women should defeat the CPI-M Govt in this upcoming Assembly Election”, said Rahatkar in a press meet at BJP Agartala Office.
“Law and Order has been totally collapsed in the state, whereas crime rates are rising highly. Very less number of convictions have been reported in Tripura, proves the political pressure upon police. Other state’s crimes are reported across nation but Tripura CPI-M Govt has successfully hided the crimes misusing the power”, added Rahatkar.
However while giving data on crime-conviction in Northeast, the BJP leader has claimed that the conviction rate is lowest in Tripura in whole Northeast.
“At Mizoram the conviction rate is 88.8 % at Meghalaya 57 %, at Manipur 40.33 % at Nagaland its 42 % at Sikkim its 36 % but in Tripura the conviction rate is only 24 %”, said Rahatkar.
“FIR is also not lodging in various police stations. When women are voting for the party, the govt also has certain responsibilities for them”, she added.
The BJP Mohila Morcha National President Vijaya Rahatkar has arrived in Tripura today.
The National leader was received at State Guest House by BJP State President Biplab Deb and Mohila Morcha State President Papiya Datta.
Vijaya Rahatkar is a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party from Maharashtra. She is the National President of BJP Mahila Morcha, women's wing of the party.
