AGARTALA, Nov 28 (TIWN): With another major shame to Tripura’s lameduck Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has directly offered Govt job to slain Journalist Sudip Datta Bhaumik’s son who is right now completing his B.Tech degree at Odisha. West Bengal TMC leader Sabyaschi Datta has arrived Tripura in this regard, also helped Sudip Datta Bhaumik's family financially with some cash.
During Sabyasachi Datta’s visit at Sudip Datta Bhaumik’s house, Mamata Banerjee directly talked to Sudip Datta Bhaumik’s mother over phone for around 10 minutes. While talking to Mamata Banerjee, Sudip Datta Bhaumik’s mother Putul Rani Datta Bhaumik told her via phone, “My son’s wish was to see his daughter becoming a geat lawyer and son is already studying engineering”.
In reply, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, “I can not compensate a mother’s pain and her loss. Nothing in the world can compensate your loss, but as your grandson is studying engineering at Odisha, please send him to West Bengal. I will appoint him today in Govt job. Side by side, he can complete his engineering degree also”.
Sudip Datta Bhaumik’s wife Sima Datta Bhaumik is now living with her daughter who is studying in class-8 and her mother in law Putul Rani Datta Bhaumik.
After the phone call and visit of Sabyasachi Datta, whole area is now chanting Mamata Banerjee, influenced by her bold decision. As per TIWN eye team's visit whisperings were heard that people are saying that politically, morally Mamata has shown what a leader should do in crisis.
Sudip Datta Bhaumik, who was killed by Tripura State Rifles commandant and other TSR Jawans in the 2nd bn Headquarter had one son and daughter, but Tripura Govt didn’t offer any job to the family members of Sudip Datta Bhaumik. Not only this, before 2 months Tripura’s another journalist Santanu Bhaumik was killed on Sep 20 and on the same day another citizen Jiban Debnath was killed.
Jiban Debnath was not a journalist but he was killed when he was travelling with Delhi based journalists at Khumlwng (Sep 20, on the same day of Santanu's murder). But when Jiban Debnath’s mother asked a Govt job for her another son from Tripura Minister Manik Dey, he directly said "It’s not possible". "Demanding something is not wrong. They can demand, but it has to maintain certain rules, regulations. Jobs must be given as per the law", it was said by Manik Dey to media after Jiban Debnath mother demanded a Govt job for her younger son.
On the other side, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar who walked for Karnataka's journalist Gauri Lankesh, didn't do anything for Tripura's slain journalists Sudip Datta Bhaumik and also Santanu Bhaumik's family members. Today Mamata Banerjee's bold decision has ashamed Tripura's Communist regime.
