AGARTALA, Oct 12 (TIWN): On Diwali eve as a bonaza Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday announced implementation of the reccomendations of the 7th Pay Commission for teachers in central, and state universities and government-aided colleges."This is really a matter of shame for Tripura Govt who has failed to implement 7th pay commission, when all other states have already been implemented it", said Amit Shah at Kumarghat on May’2017."If all the state are providing 7th pay commission, why Tripura Govt can not implement it ? This 7th pay commission has been accepted in the whole country," said Amit Shah. The decision to implement the recommendations was taken in a meeting of Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The move will benefit over 7,58,000 teachers in these institution, and the increase will be between Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 at different levels, Javadekar said, adding that this is a hike between 22 per cent to 28 per cent,

The hike will be retrospective, effective from January 1, 2016.

"We want education to improve, to attract good people to the profession... This is not a gift, this is justice for those who are already serving," Javadekar said.

"We will see that it is implemented as soon as possible," he added.

The 7th pay commission, which has been the long cherished dream for Tripura Govt employees, will be implemented once BJP comes in power, Shah further confirmed.

Earlier also BJP state leaders had promised same that when BJP will come in power it will implement 7th pay commission within 3 months. As a part of the Election Promise State BJP President Biplab Deb in an official statement announced that if in 2018 BJP comes in power within 3 months from the Election result state govt employees to receive the benefited by 7th Pay Commission’s implementation. Also the party has finalized a draft report for the outcome of the promise.

Tripura Finance Minister BhnaulalSaha in the Assembly budget said that presently to hike the budget as per 4th Pay Commission is not possible. Saha clearly announced that even though the demand for the salary and pensioners were Rs. 58.399 crores but it has been allocated Rs. 30,501 crores, but it’s not possible to bear the hiked amount of salary, pension under 4rth Pay Commission.

Reportedly,  in the Pay Commission announced by the Central Govt 125 % DA was added with the present basic salary, whereas more 30 % basic has been increased. Already the Central Govt employees are getting the amount from 2016-1st January.

Already in other states the 7th pay commission has been implemented or paycommission has been implemented, but surprisingly, while presenting the budget the finance minister with the excuse of no fund denied to implement 7th pay commission, whereas as per the Assembly data from 2013 to 2016 under the sanctioned fund for Tripura Govt employees, there are atleast 932.55 crores have kept as unspent.

In this crisis situation Amit Shah's promise for pay commission may work out massively to draw employee's vote banks.
