AGARTALA, Sep 13 (TIWN): The much hyped ‘My Govt Tripura’ couldn’t update a single developmental work since 4 days after it was inaugurated by the Chief Minister. However, only one update was seen where Tripura Govt’s caption was “Hon’ble Chief Minister visited Akhaura Check Post, Kalapania Khal, Katakhal and Ranjit Nagar areas to find out the solution of proper drainage of rain water and interacted with local peopleâ€. However, after Tripura CM had visited border areas, on the next day Agartala town went under flood water again and locals protested demanding CM’s attention in water-logging issues.
This is the condition of Tripura Govt website which can publish nothing than Ministers’ visit.
Instead of promoting state/ central govt’s schemes, awareness, developmental works Tripura Govt website is ended with which Ministers' visitings. Moreover, what the decision has been taken to resolve the waterlogging on those areas nothing has been said.
In 24 years of CPI-M regime, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar couldn’t visit to check the drainage system at Border areas, but when election is knocking the door the Chief Minister has alone visited Katakhal to ‘improve’ the drainage system in the city. With CM’s visit now its all clear that the ongoing Agartala flood was not out of the ‘record breaking’ rain of the year but it was due to the AMC’s negligence, corruption throughout the year. CM on Saturday had visited at Akhaura border and inspected various places at there. CM also asked the Chief Secretary and other officials to find out ‘what is needed’ but to ‘solve the issues’.
Although Tripura Govt has launched 'Social Media Account' on Friday named 'My Govt Tripura' at Secretariat, although Manik Sarkar later suggested ‘It should be Our Govt Tripura’.
Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, accompanied by Health and PWD Minister Badal Choudhury and Information and Finance minister Bhanulal Saha, launched the account."To remain in the contemporary digital world and to spread government decisions, plans, actions and policies to more people using various social media, the new system has been introduced," Sarkar told the media.
As social media swiftly spreads information, the state government is trying to reach out to the larger section of the people using various social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram, he said. But the updates are pathetic and since when it inaugurated is running dry die to lack of Govt’s Good Works’.
