AGARTALA, July 21 (TIWN): The so called 'successful (?)' Congress strikers and proud leaders of Tripura who are all together couldn't manage around 50 picketers, but managed to paralyze the whole state including Central Banks, Telecommunications, Post Offices; has been slammed by Tripura BJP Observer Sunil Deodhar in Yuva Morcha conducted programme at Rabindra Bhawan for their nexus with CPI-M in attire of opposition. Addressing the mass gathering, Deodhar said, "CPI-M, seeing the increasing power of BJP now not leaving any weak political parties to hire. For example ahead of strike one of those MLAs was feed by ruling party. After food, the MLA was asked : Food is good (Khana Achha Laga)? Then call a strike (Toh Strike Announce Karo) and it was successful". On July 18, allegation came against Tripura Congress for designing the 12 hrs strike on Wednesday in its nexus with CPI-M. BJP State President Biplab Deb in evening press meet urged common men not to inspire the strike and to oppose it as it’s not a protest ‘but was fixed in a dinner party’ at CM’s residence on Monday which was the cause of night’s press meet".

"It's a pre-plan of CPI-M and Congress to collapse the law and order. CITU will help fully to make the strike a success", said Deb.

However, in prominent media also the news came that Congress Chief Birjit Sinha had met the Chief Minister at his residence after BJP had blocked CM for 13 hours.

However, on the day of strike, it was seen Tripura media persons number was greater than the Congress agitators at Agartala. Police personnel’s numbers were 10 times more than the Congress agitators. Whereas at Agartala the picketers who were arrested couldn’t cross 50, at Udaipur the number of arrested persons were only 10.

But, surprisingly, the strike was quite successful, neither the ruling CPI-M party held any protest in this regard led a successful 12 hours strike.

However, relating the strike Deodhar said on Friday, "These Congress MLAs can be bought in exchange of a dish".
