AGARTALA, August 1 (TIWN): Two insurgents of the outlawed National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) were arrested on Friday from a residential household near Meher Kalibari near Lake Chowmuhani market in Agartala city, police officials said. The arrested duo was later identified as Jagadish Debbarma and Indrajoy Reang, both residents of Kanchanpur sub-division in North Tripura district, a duty officer from the West Agartala Police Station said here this evening. The ultras were arrested from a civilian residence along Pragati Road based on a tip-off from the central intelligence, the police said.

The Intelligence Bureau sleuths recovered two extortion receipt books of the banned terror outfit, twenty-three female photographs and Rs. 5,000 in Indian currency. The currency notes were later confirmed to be fake notes.
