AGARTALA, April 10 (TIWN): Unless and until Congress comes out from 1950’s ideology it is hard for the party to come in a better shape than the present situation. Many experts claimed earlier that like a cancer the Gandhi family has been damaging the party. That's the reason why BJP had sidelined Barun Gandhi from the Centre point after major controversies erupted regarding him. But same happened with Congress in Tripura, led by Barman family which have damaged the party fully. Lately, but Congress has realized that it was the Barman family which acted like a curse for Tripura Congress since decades. A source said that eventhough Congress was allegedly in secret alliance with CPI-M, but Birjit Sinha always wanted to wipe out the Barmans, but at the end due to party views he failed to take this action in proper timing.
When Sudip Barman joined in Trianmool betraying Congress party, then Birjit expelled Sudip Barman from the party and also wanted his MLA position to surrender.
Talking on the background of Sudip Barman’s resign, Birjit Sinha told TIWN that Sudip Barman is just a greedy persons, left Congress with utter shocks. Sinha also called Barman as a ‘fraud’ on that time. However, later when Barman joined TMC, then everything seemed to have in correct path, but after sometime, TMC started to break down and a major section of TMC members including Tripura Trianmool’s Godfather cum Chairman Ratan Chakraborty also joined in BJP being frustrated of Barman interference in the party office of Trinamool.
Later BJP President directly told media that the party is ready to align with Congress and Trianmool, but without the Barmans in anyway. And, finally Congress abandoned Sudip Barman’s father 79 yrs Ex-CM Samir Barman from the party for 6 yrs.
But question arises, why national congress expelled Barman so lately ? Answer is the UPA Govt led by Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi who were supported by CPI-M at Centre had compromised with CPI-M’s ruling in state Tripura and the former Congress CM Samir Barman also easily kept his family relation with CPI-M CM Manik Sarkar openly.
But after Sudip Barman's betray with Congress and also Samir Barman's waving of TMC flag at Astabol with Mamata Banerjee's arrival, National Congress understood that Barmans are now useless anymore and also got proofs in hand how the Barman's damaged party funds in the name of Congress leaders.
It’s said that it was Gandhi family to damage Congress in country and now it’s aid in Tripura the Barman earlier destroyed Congress and finally collapsed much aspirant Trinamool party too pouring cold water to Mamata Banerjee’s wishes.
Infact Ratan Chakraborty (Ex-TMC Chairman while joining BJP said, “I deeply respect Mamata Banerjee for her spirit to fight against CPI-M, but the persons whom she has choosen for Tripura were Wong. The way Mamata Banerjee fought against CPI-M is really praiseworthy. But the persons whom she has chosen as TMC leaders are not good people. They are just brokers of CPI-M".
Basically lack of unity damaged the Congress image across nation. While the Bharatiya Janata Party celebrated its massive victory in the Lok Sabha election, the mood at the Congress office was understandably sombre. With the 128-year-old party facing virtual decimation, stunned Congressmen were struggling to explain its worst-ever electoral performance.
In this situation, questions are further raising about the uncertain political career of Sudip Barman.
