AGARTALA, Oct 28 (TIWN): On the occasion of National Ayurveda Day held at Sukanta Academy, Tripura Health Minister Badal Choudhury slamming India’s emerging Patanjali brand company said that, ‘Indian Ayurveda is now under corporate hands, where a saint has turned as the business icon. Whether this Patanjali brand has any quality or not, who will judge it?’
‘India has started a huge business with medicine and connecting medicines with religion, the Patanjali leaders are doing as per their wishes as they are given free license by the India govt’, said Choudhury.
Badal Choudhuru further mentioned, ‘Don’t leave products in the name of God & in this way Ayurved will never regain its popularity. India should learn from China how to modernize the traditional medical therapy’.
‘Ayurveda was started in India before 5000 BC & on that time the whole medical care depends upon this system. Today’s modern health service was unbelievable to them. However, time has changed now and this is the time to further strengthen the traditional way of health care’, he added.
‘Ayurveda has now 8 branches & each of them needs to be mixed by modern technology’, said Choudhury.
However, he also raised voice not to keep faith in God regarding any health mission. At the beginning of the programme, doctors offered prayers to Lord Dhanvantari, who is believed as the Divine Founder of Ayurveda. Badal Choudhury said, ‘If doctors bring religion and medical service together, then no one will believe in their services’.
However, Choudhury said, ‘Ayurved has historical significance & proof, whereas Ramayan, Hanuman story, Mahabharat would not be brought in modern era as a part of education.
The CPI-M Minister blamed the present central BJP Govt for mixing religion and science together resulting pathetic health care & figures like Ramdev who is looting public money in the name of Ayurved care.
