AGARTALA, Oct 25 (TIWN): Whereas all the parties including ruling party CPI-M & opposition TMC, BJP are busy in door to door campaigning ahead of bi-election, Congress is in deep sleep, without holding any campaigning yet. Rejecting TMC’s proposal to announce any candidate’s name for this bi-election, Tripura’s broken party from which maximum have converted as Trinamool, had declared its candidates name for bi-poll. Congress State President Birajit Sinha and MLA Gopal Roy jointly declared the names as from Barjala constituency its Rajendra Kumar Das & at Khowai Pranab Biswash have been declared as the bi-poll candidates, on Oct 23. But after announcing their names till day Congress didn’t conduct a single campaigning, neither its party members are going for any door to door campaigning, whereas other parties have already started campaigning before 1 week. The political disorder which was emerged in Tripura, just before 1 year of the Assembly Election, has destroyed Congress in Tripura.

The main opposition party Tripura Pradesh Congress which has almost left just as a skeleton as its major leaders ran away from the party and joined Trinamool.

On last Oct 16, Congress President Sonia Gandhi had approved re-constitution of the party's Tripura unit with Pradyut Kishor Deb Barman named as its working president.

In a press meet Birajit Sinha said that Congress party will re-construct with the new members and will come back in full wave as earlier.

“We are happy that Congress President Sonia Gandhi has approved the re-construction of Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee and 9 District Committees”, said Sinha.  Around 150 people has formed the committee whereas Pradyut Kishore Deb Barman will work  as the working president.

“She also approved re-constitution of nine district committees in the northeastern state”, it was said by Congress General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi in a statement.

But now it shows Pradyut Kishore Deb Barman, Birajit Sinha, Gopal Roy all are proving themselves as defeated party leaders in Tripura, & crossing them BJP, TMC are emerging as the strongest opposition parties.
