AGARTALA, May 27 (TIWN): Is Govt of Tripura (GoT) feeling hopeless in Supreme Court about legal fight of challenging HC order of terminating 10323 teachers issue? Returning back to the state of official team without further actions raising this big question. An official team headed by law secretary Datamohon Jamatia went to New Delhi on 21st May to file leave petition in Supreme Court (SC). The team comprised Advocate General Bijan Ch Das, Principal Secretary of School Education K Rajeswar Rao and Director of School Education Pradip Chakraborty. Official delegation had to stay in Delhi since last seven days.

During this time they met with renowned advocates, those who are practicing in Supreme Court.

According to the local sources, some more essential documents also been placed to learned advocates within this period and they have also studied the judgment given by Hon’ble High Court. Even after showing all the supporting papers, renowned advocates couldn’t show any light of hope. In this context, delegation returns back on Monday.

An official told, ‘holidays starting in Supreme Court, thus, Govt. is not willing to file leave petition as of now’ If it is fact, then the question arise;” Why the team was pushed to proceed to Supreme Court without knowing details? Though the sources said, advice came from senior advocates of SC was not satisfactory. So government is now wants to buy time as much as possible.”

In the mean time, employees’ organizations of ruling party already declared to file another petition in Supreme Court by the victims’ teachers. Now another question arises, before filing of leave petition by GoT, why in advance the party forum thinking about an alternative option? According to a top official sources, GoT is realizing now about the merit of the case, which mostly likely another round of defeat in Supreme Court after High Court’s verdict. Keeping in view of the situation,  employees’ forum taking preparation to file a separate case, sources said.
