AGARTALA, July 29 (TIWN): In yet another blow on Friday a bus bearing number TR01B1208 on its way from Teliamura to Ghilatali met a terrible accident following the reckless driving.

In total 15 people were inside the bus.  5 people were seriously injured including a girl-child due to the accident.

Among the 5 injured persons, Manika Pal’s  (32) condition became very critical and observing her deteriorating condition doctors referred her to GB Hospital.

The incident occurred at Telimaura near Rail-Bridge area, at around 1 PM.

The bus was coming from Agartala and on the way to Ghilatali via Teliamura the driver lost his control over the bus and thus the bus turned over a paddy field.

Apart from 5 seriously injured persons many were also injured. The fire-brigade rushed to the spot after getting informed by locals.

Then police brought the injured persons in Teliamura Primary Hospital.

The seriously wounded persons are : Mayarani Majumder (75), Sathi Debnath (10), Sharmila Debbarma (24), Manika Pal (32), Joymohon Das (55).

O/C Teliamura PS Sidhhartha Shankar Kar, along with huge number of police force also reached the spot.

However, it’s worthy to mention here that the pathetic condition of road was responsible for this accicnet. The road is very narrow, an although demands to expand the road was placed many times, but till day no action was taken.

The road condition is so much bad that 2 vehicles can not pass together and over taking in such condition is always risky.

In this situation the drivers are not at all bothered about the accidents although that area has already been identified as an Accident-Zone.
