AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): Narada news channel sting operation exposed TMC honcho Mukul Roy accepting Rs. 20 lakhs bribe alongwith many other TMC leaders, so its no surprise that,TMC’s morally bankrupt leadership will stoop down to any level for votes. Agartala witnessed on Thursday afternoon the drama of TMC leaders to woo Muslim voters. Kolkata TMC leaders Mukul Roy, Prasun Banerjee’s filthy language, choice of vocabulary even made rickshaw pullers shy at Agartala. Trinamool Congress on Thursday afternoon blocked busy roads at Ujjayanta market, Tulasibati School to garner minority vote banks. TMC leaders Mukul Roy, Prasun Banerjee, Sudip Barman, Ratan Chakraborty decided to turn as minority for a day by changing their attire donning muslim skull caps. TMC leaders were using attractive words like “Adab”, “Salam” and “Jannat” to appease Muslim supporters. Hundreds of Muslim supporters were arranged as TMC leaders in minority attires could inaugurate the “Iftar” at Gedu Mia Masjid. Even Hindu Saint or Santa Claus looking Ratan Chakraborty flattered crowd by uttering, “People should die to see Jannat (heaven) in the name of Allah but Mamata will show you Jannat in 2018”.

TMC's  first speech started with Congratulating the “Minorities”, not the common men of Tripura.

First speech was delivered by Biswabandhu Majumder who said, “9^th August is special not because Mamata Bnarjee is coming, but on that day Gandhiji started his Quit India movement”.

Even TMC hired a a disabled boy in traditional Muslim costume before stage, who was seen clapping with every speech delivered by the skillfull orators at Jackson gate.

To beat the rat-race among psychophants, Ratan Chakraborty said, “State will not only run by TMC after 2018 election, but it will run under the directions of Trinamool Supremo Mamata Banarjee”.

Ratan also ensured the minority to get their rights in Tripura, after the rout of CPI-M  in 2018.

TMC MP Prasun Banarjee said, “Mamata came from JANNAT and she is God’s gift, so please vote for the sake of justice”.

Then Sudip Roy Barman began his speech and said, “I do not want to remain as the opposition leader, please for one and half year give a relief, I just want to work for the TMC party”.

Question remains why the Sudip Barman still occupying his MLA seat which was earned under Congress banner ? 

Barman however went to  quoteTagore’s Gitanjali and said, “After TMC comes must be Jannat will come—where the Mind will be without fear !”

Sudip Barman however threatened Manik Sarkar to take his peace away within 6 months.

Bribe master Mukul Roy in his speech added, “People criticize TMC for Muslim supportive, but actually TMC is working for minority, which every party would do”.

It’s worthy to mention here that as West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee riding a popularity wave and appeared set for a second straight term in 2016, so TMC leaders now  are leaving no stone unturned to consolidate the support of the Muslim community in Tripura, as TMC Leader Sudip Roy Barman along with WB MPs and Mukul Roy and other leaders have participated and hoist in Iftar ceremony at Gedu Mia Masjid on Thursday.

Even though Muslim voters are not expected to play a key role in upcoming election 2018, but TMC is preparing to gather Muslim vote banks by playing with religious sentiment.

As Mamata Banrjee received a grand success with Muslim-Sentiments, so now she has sent TMC MPs along with Mukul Roy to propagate the party and to put some spices on Muslim sentiments by attending Iftar at Masjids.

However, for Tripura the Muslims were the traditional vote base for Communist since 1990s. Now question arises, how far Mamata policy will win the heart of the Muslims here and will help TMC to win the assembly election 2018 ?

However, it’s interesting to see that every party including BJP also trying to maintain the diplomacy to keep the Muslims in pocket.

Thats the reason that none of the political parties opened their mouths against the Islamic fundamentalist tortures, killings upon Hindus at Bangladesh.

However in this regard targeting the Muslim Vote Banks, TMC leaders have attended Iftar  which is the meal eaten by Muslims after sunset during Ramadan.

It has often been seen that the political Iftar parties often hosted by the non-Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan are a unique phenomenon, and undoubtedly it’s exclusive for political gain.

Thrusday’s  TMC drama is also a prime example, how the politicians leave no stone unturned, to cash on the religious sentiments, eying vote bank politics.

TMC honcho Mukul Roy said before accepting Rs. 20 Lakhs bribe that "“Give it to my office, I am not taking it straight away. I will tell my men, so you give it to them,” 

However as per political analysts, Tripura is no Bengal, people of Tripura are fare more educated and cultured, so TMC's street dramas will not fetch them any minority votes, instead majority may dump the party into dustbin in 2018 Assembly elections.

Agartala witnessed a new flavor of minority appeasing politics, even though TMC failed to build any organization statewide so far.
