AGARTALA, June 30 (TIWN): Who is Panna Ahmed ! Is he a Mafia or Don that Tripura police is sweating too much to catch him? Panna Ahmed was always a career criminal and brother-in-law of Roman Mia, infamously known as Phensedyl king of Sonamura. Although Add. SP Sharmistha Chakraborty during the protests held by opposition parties told them, “Within 72 hours Panna Ahmed will be arrested”, but it seems that Sharmistha Chakraborty lied to the protesters during the time just to manage the situation. Talking to Sharmistha Chakraborty over phone about the status of Panna Ahmed arrest, she replied, “Panna Ahmed has not been arrested yet”. Asking about the development of the case, Add. SP became numbed and further she cut conversation”. However, too much ‘Tom and Jerry game’ have been acted ! now everyone is asking, when Panna will be arrested? It’s worthy to mention here that although Chief Minister Manik Sarkar had ordered suspension of Ahmed with immediate effect and further asked the West Tripura District Magistrate and police authorities to separately inquire the incident and take appropriate action, but it Tripura Police has failed to catch the culprit.

However, Panna Ahmed’s number 9436189783 is switched off all day. Earlier talking to SP West Abhijit Saptarshi while talking to TIWN said , “The update of Panna Ahmed arrest is on the way, police is trying to catch the accused with the help of intelligence, and now catching him is the main focus of whole West Police force”. “We will catch him soon and then inquiry against him will begin”, says Saptarshi. ‘We are searching him from different-different places of the city’, he said.

But adding more 24 hours it has gone to 72 hours, but Tripura police has failed to catch the rapist.

Reportedly, the TCS officer and former Sonamura SDM Panna Ahmed, has brutally raped woman, who  is mother of 2 children, and came to meet Panna Ahmed at his home in search of rent at Agartala Ramnagar. Taking advantage of situation, Panna Ahmed tortured her, beaten her and then raped her for hours.

IPC Section 506 FIR, IPC 376 were lodged against Panna Ahmed in West Women Police Station on Monday, but police is not able to arrest the culprit although 48 hours have been passed. The rapist who further gave threat to the victim for taking her life and also told her that “like her he threw many women he threw into dustbin, so she should not open her mouth”.

In the “Golden Era” led by Tripura’s clean-image-holder Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and the wisest CM ever in India, the state is becoming a den for all mafia, corrupt officials, murderers and Rapists.

Under Manik Govt. Jiten Das who killed his wife brutally, Bimal Chakraborty who looted MGNREGA funds, minor girl rapist Manoranjan Acharjee, or Sabroom Magistrate attacker Triloket Sinha - all are in bail.

Who can forget how Manik Sarkar plan-wise had transferred Sonamura former SDM Subasish Das for doing his job honestly by destroying over Rs. 100 crores worth of ganja fields and then appointed Panna Ahmed as the SDM of Sonamura, who then converted the Sonamura Subdivision into a paradise for smugglers, Terrorist and ISI agents.

However as now strong charges have been brought against him, so police is doing its best to save CPI-M’s right hand and presently, joint secretary of Youth & Sports Affairs.
